the basics

Im going to give this a try dont know how well its going to work or even if I am going to keep up with it but here goes nothing. There are some things you need to know first off my name is Ashley I am 24 years old and I am happily married to my husband Olajuwon. We have been together almost 8 years and this month we will be celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary. I have a 7 year old step-son names Shawn ( and no my hubby did NOT cheat). We started trying to conceive our own child Dec. of 2008, I was diagnosed with PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) after 18 months of trying to get pregnant I finally became pregnant in June of 2010, only to lose our baby in July of 2010 due to an ectopic pregnancy. I also had to have my left tube as well as ovary removed. I had an HSG done on my remaining tube to find out that it is blocked, so now the only way for my hubby and I to conceive is with IVF. we are currently saving money to do our first cycle and I want to use this blog to kind of show people the struggles women with infertility face everyday. Its a hard road to be on but I feel in the end it will make me a better mother and I will cherish my child even more.
